Color Wheel

Overview

This was the second project we did in graphic design. We had to make a color wheel using adobe illustrator. Illustrator is basically photoshop but your using an art board.

My experience

I found this project quite easy. I thought adobe illustrator was pretty easy to use.  The only problem I had was copying things. Im pretty proud of my results.

Using carp

Contrast

I used contrast by making wizard of oz huge and higlighting some words.

 Allignment

My poster sorta has a left alignment.

Repetition

I used repetition of yellow and some fonts.

Proximity

I grouped time and important info in one place. Title in one place. websites in another, and I grouped the copy right info at the bottom.

 

Typeography

Overview

In e9 we were introduced to typography. the project was to make a diagram explaining the terms. we used Adobe illustrator to make it. I have been really enjoying graphic design and I felt this project was fairly easy.

Observing Color Choices Of Logos

Logo Color Schemes

                                                 Analogous

 This logo uses the analougous colors of green and yellow. I think the company used these colors to make you think of grass and fields because they mainly make land-mowers.




 This logo uses the analogous color of green and yellow. I think the company used these colors to make you think of cheese and lettuce on a sandwich.

Complementary                  

This logo uses the complementary colors of green and red. I think they choose these colors to make the red stick out with a fiery feel while making the green represent energy.                                                                                

This logo uses the complementary colors of blue and orange. I think the  company close these colors to make the logo look calming and settle.

  Cool

  This logo uses the cool colors of purple and blue.  I think the company  used these colors to stand out from other fast food places which are usually red and yellow.

This logo uses the cool colors of blue and green. I think they used  these colors to make of think of a fresh refreshing feel.

  Monochromtic 

This logo uses a red monochromatic color scheme. I think the company chose these colors to give a smokey southwestern feel.

      This logo uses a blue monochromatic color scheme. I believed they used these colors because blue represents trust and the company wants you to trust them with their money.

 Triad Colors

This logo uses a primary triad colors scheme. I think they choose to use these colors to give it an all american feel

This logo uses the same triad color scheme. I believe these colors were chosen to imitate a burger.

                                              Warm

This logo uses the worm colors of red and orange . I feel like the company used these colors to say they were powerful.

First web project

Overview

For our Ecomm final we had to make a website. We got a format to use and we had to watch multipe videos. This project took about 5 class periods. Website design is very new to me and i kind of struggled. My links and codes started breaking so it put me behind. I believe this was the hardest e9 project so far.

 What did I learn?

Before this process I thought this would be more simple like using blogger. As the Process progressed i learned that web design is very complicated. I also learned the importances of checking for broken links. At the end of the process i thought about the talent of professional web designers that constantly update and make websites at an extremely advanced level.

Conclusions on My Final  Project

My final product wasn't the best, although it shows I have room for improvement. This project brought many new experiences and taught me alot about web design. I look forward to seeing how I can improve in the future

Final Chase scene

Pre - Production

  For this project Pre- Production went smoothy. I had a great team that came up with great ideas. We ended up using my idea. We were going for an artsy and powerful concept. The idea was that the protagonist suffered from depression and was running away from fear and insecurity. By the end she regains self confidence. We all worked as actors and directed together as a team. I was the main actor and grace was the main director.

Process

Since we came up with an elaborate idea the process took a longer time, but with hard work we got it done faster than we thought. We had to change some of the original ideas due to absent team mates and time in general.  i had a blast filming the chase scenes too!

Editing

With this project editing went really well. I have started to get the hang of premiere pro. This time i added a lot of transitions, changed the speed and changed the color. I still had problems with loosing my footage but when i lost it I got it right back.

Final Product

The final product turned out really great and i'm elicited to share it with my peers.

First Video project!!

Creative Process Before Filming

Before filming or doing anything we had to make a story board. To be honest I felt our story board was pretty basic and dull. Then we divided our team into roles. I was the Actor, Alanna and Micheal were camera people, and the director was Olivia. When we started to take our photos I started to make new little ideas and changes , although one of my group members was not so fond of the changes and wanted to stick to the story board.  The group was pretty good at working together but one person always kind of seemed in a bad mood and kind of just mumbled and ignored us. Also when we took photos this person stopped taking photos, then went the next day when we were all done. This put us behind and i wasn't too happy. At the end of our creative process the idea was to be cheese and quirky. This plan didn't go as well as I hoped but it still looked ok.

The Proceess

During the filming I learned that working in groups can be stressful. I also learned how to work under stress. During editing I struggled a little bit. I accidentally lost my files twice and i had a major freak out. Thank god Zimmerli found them. From this mistake I learned the importance of saving projects multiple times. Editing wasn't too hard. During editing I also had help from my partner 'Michael'

Finished project

Looking at my project I feel like I could of done better, but I also thought I did an ok job considering the draw backs I went through.
